Paramount's, Brett Ratner-directed, *Hercules* has a release date! We will see the strongman in theaters August 8th, 2014 just one week after Disney and Marvel's *Guardians of the Galaxy* is expected to hit theaters. Hercules will be played by Dwayne The Rock Johnson, and reportedly the plot will be an adaptation based on Hercules' story from Radical Publishing's two novels, *Hercules: The Thracian Wars* and *The Knives of Kush*. The script, which will be written and adapted by Ryan Condal, will bring the characters into a more real life context versus the standard mythological version of the story, with the weary son of Zeus becoming a mercenary. Peter Berg is set to executive produce, who also directed *Battleship* and the* Friday Night Lights* movie. As far as actors go, right now, Johnson is the only name that has been attached so far...
