Business Development Manager (UAE) Posted: Specialist Group, based in Dubai, is currently recruiting a self-motivated, enthusiastic Business Development Manager. This position will be responsible for the overall management of the Business Development Department and Bid Team activities. This will include providing feedback and guidance to the Managing Director and the senior management team regarding new, competitive business opportunities. The Business Development Manager will take ownership of the compilation and submission of technical proposals and expression of interest documentation, etc., coordinating with subject experts, estimators and the Commercial Department. The candidate will also plan and coordinate the implementation of business plans, policies and procedures. The successful candidate must: Be computer literate and have excellent administrative skills. Maintain effective attention to detail, be able to meet deadlines and prioritize competing demands. Have superior written and oral communication skills. Have the ability to work independently on a wide variety of tasks and in different roles within the group. Adopt a professional and knowledgeable approach to each new potential business opportunity. Be proactive and enthusiastic to work. Have prior experience in an oil company and knowledge of government bidding processes. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following: Monitoring tender websites and business publications for potential business development opportunities - advising the senior management team on potential projects. Completing and submitting pre-qualification and registration documentation Acting as Team Lead and coordinating the completion and submission of tender documentation Carrying out project research Developing and amending / updating contract administration documentation Providing the Managing Director with regular updates of outstanding issues and project progress This position requires regular travel to other Group offices, including Iraq.
