Just two weeks after he was named director of Marvel's planned Doctor Strange movie, Scott Derrickson took to Twitter to announce he will also be spending his days working on a feature film adaptation of the 1960's television series The Outer Limits. According to THR, Derrickson will be working with his Sinister co-writer C. Robert Cargill on the adaptation. No word yet though if he plans to direct the film as well. The Outer Limits ran from 1963 to 1965 and was similar to The Twilight Zone, but usually focused more on sci-fi stories. In fact, some of the creatures that appeared on The Outer Limits later made their way onto the original Star Trek series and even stars William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy appeared on a few episodes.
