This Week on MetalSucks...

In case you didn't look at any form of social media yesterday... after teasing everyone for weeks, holy shit, Mastodon finally dropped their video for "High Road"! It's got everything you could ever want: battles, an evil nemesis, an unlikely hero, a rad grandpa, and plenty of LARPing. (And, before you say anything, NO, it is nothing like Red Fang's video for "Prehistoric Dog", despite their shared love of live-action role play, though we love that one, too.)

Also, here's a cool thing: The Ocean's new guitarist Damian Murdoch has a totally killer new fusion project (yes, we're suggesting you take a break from constant blast-beats), appropriately called The Damian Murdoch Trio, and we premiered their new video for "Jump Rope With Electric Wires." Check it out. The ever-fascinating Lazer/Wulf also premiered a new track from their palindromic album The Beast Of Left And Right this week called "Lagarto," and it's awesome. Enjoy!

This Is Why People Pirate Music

Man, the people at The Oatmeal really nailed this one. If movies, tv shows, and music aren't READILY available to grab online in legal ways, then it makes sense that a lot of people have to resort to piracy. Check out this slam-dunk of a cartoon explaining the whole process.

These Guys Wrote A Metal Song Entirely In Binary Code

No matter what happens in metal, it seems like every time you say, "It's all been done!" it turns out it hasn't. This time, two guys wrote a metal song entirely in binary code in order to have a very important culinary conversation. Like you do. Check it out here
