The Ninja Turtles returned to the big screen this weekend in a big way nabbing the top spot from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and ranked in around $65 million in the US and almost $100 million worldwide. That apparently was enough to get Paramount to set June 3rd, 2016 for a sequel. Producer Michael Bay will return as well as screenwriters Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec, but no word if director Jonathan Leibsman will return to helm part 2. Outside of a release date, little is known about the sequel, but during press for the first film, Leibsman and producer Andrew Form stated they'd like to see Turtles ally Casey Jones make an appearance as well as fan-favorite baddies Bebop and Rocksteady.
