This Week on MetalSucks...

It's almost Thanksgiving, and MetalSucks has a lot to be thankful for. Our dear readers, even the trolls, of course. No new Metallica album this year, natch. Cannibal Corpse vocal covers on YouTube, totes. Marty Friedman, Babymetal, and other fine exports from the Land of the Rising Sun, yessir. Manowar and their tireless commitment to chest waxing, mmhmm. That used copy of Van Halen II we found on vinyl for $6.99, oh god yes. And that got us to thinking... what are our favorite metal musicians thankful for this year? You know you've been wondering the same, don't lie. Wonder no more, because we've got the inside scoop, right here. Praise hands.

Side bar, the lovely lads in Krokodil took over the MetalSucks Instagram account yesterday, and the results were diaper-fillingly excellent. Follow us and have a looksy, eh?

System of a Down Announce Arena Tour Commemorating 100th Anniversary of Armenian Genocide

Normally System of a Down's bass player Shavo Odadjian is the one making strange remarks via social media about the band's status, but this week we were wondering if some of his crazy had brushed off on skinsman John Dolmayan. We were worried for a few days after a bunch of nonsensical Twitter posts made reference to... well, nothing that we could glean, but soon all was revealed: the band is getting back together for a quick tour to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Check out the dates for the "Wake Up The Souls" tour here.

Writer/Director James Gunn Reveals the Odd Connection Between Iron Maiden’s Adrian Smith, Benecio Del Toro, and Guardians of the Galaxy

Have you seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet? Of course you have. It made more than the GDP of several small nations in its opening weekend alone. But that only matters tangentially, as the movie was the conduit that allowed us to learn that actor Benecio Del Toro (The Collector, in the film) is a huge Iron Maiden fan. Guess we've got that in common, Mr. Del Toro.
