Sony Cancels The Interview Release Subscribe Now! ► http://bit.ly/SubClevverMovies It's official, Sony Pictures has announced it will no longer release the Seth Rogen/James Franco comedy The Interview on Christmas Day following yesterday's threat against movie theaters showing the film. Earlier today, several large chains announced they would not screen the film, including AMC, Regal, Cinemark and Cineplex theaters despite Homeland Security announcing there were currently no credible threats to any US theaters. In a statement, Sony announced quote, "In light of the decision by the majority of our exhibitors not to show the film The Interview, we have decided not to move forward with the planned December 25th theatrical release. We respect and understand our partners' decision and, of course, completely share their paramount interest in the safety of employees and theater-goers."
