Gone Girl Crew Reteaming For 'Strangers On A Train' Remake Subscribe Now! ► http://bit.ly/SubClevverMovies The team behind last year's smash hit Gone Girl are reuniting for a remake of a classic Hitchcock thriller. Deadline reports that Ben Affleck has signed on to star in a remake of Alfred Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train that will be directed by Gone Girl helmer, David Fincher. But that's not all, the studio behind the film, Warner Brothers, is in talks with Gillian Flynn to write the screenplay. Flynn is the writer of the original novel that Gone Girl was based on and also wrote the film's script. Though the new film will take inspiration from Hitchcock's 1951 film about a tennis pro looking to get divorced who meets a psychotic socialite on a train who suggests they "exchange murders", the new version will actually take place on a plane.
