A Few Names You May Know: The Lineup For 2015 CMA Music Festival

Posted: 09 Mar 2015 03:25 PM PDT

Each June hoards of enthusiastic country music fans pervade the streets of Nashville for the CMA Music Festival. It doesn’t matter what facet of country you are into, if you can’t find something you’re into at CMAFest you might not be a fan of country at all.

For most, the highlight of the four day event is the nightly shows at LP Field. Tickets for these massive multi-artist concerts have been sold out since November and the lineup has only been revealed this past weekend. That should tell you how coveted these tickets are. So, without further ado I present the lineup for the 2015 CMA Music Festival LP Field shows.

Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Neal McCoy, Oak Ridge Boys, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Thomas Rhett, Darius Rucker, Cole Swindell, The Band Perry, Keith Urban, Wynonna & The Big Noise, and The Zac Brown Band.

Yeah, I know right? But there is no reason to drop to your knees and curse the heavens with clenched fists if you do not have tickets this year because there will be tons of free concerts, spontaneous appearances, and activities set up throughout downtown Nashville over the whole week.  I recommend the Riverfront stage where you can sit in the grass and watch free live performances with the Cumberland River flowing listlessly in the backdrop while drinking a cold beer.

The CMA Music Festival has seen many incarnations since it's inception in 1972 but the mission remains the same, to bridge the gap between artist and fan. CMAFest is a party with a purpose, though. Since 2006 the CMA Foundation has donated over $11 million to music education across the country.

The nightly LP Field concerts will be taped for an ABC special set to air later this summer. As we close in on the event I will have much more to tell you, but for now I would head over to cmaworld.com and then immediately to the airline and hotel reservation sites because this is an experience you will be sorry if you miss.

James Otto is back on the country music scene and recently stopped by Rise Up Country and KLMJ studios among others, to talk about what's new in his life, touring and his new single, 'Somewhere Tonight.' The single has been continuously climbing the charts and is now #5 on Sirius/XM The Highway’s hot 45 chart.

Click HERE to listen to, 'Somewhere Tonight'.

"With all the things that happen in life, sometimes you just need to break out, and that's exactly what this song is about," Otto comments. "It's saying, 'I just want to go somewhere tonight. I wanna forget about all the stress and pressure at work and the busy schedules. I just want to get out and have some fun.'"

Otto's last album, 'Shake What God Gave Ya,' landed him in the Top 10 and gave him two Top 40 hits, 'Groovy Little Summer Song' and 'Soldiers & Jesus.' After his rise to the top of the charts with the 2007 hit, 'I Just Got Started Loving You,' Otto has also co-written some of country music's biggest hits, including Jamey Johnson's 'In Color' and the Zac Brown Band's 'No Hurry.'
