Scott Borchetta Joins FOX’s American Idol Roster Posted: 11 Mar 2015 01:16 PM PDT American Idol will be adding another big name to their roster! Big Machine Label Group President and CEO, Scott Borchetta, the man responsible for taking a chance on global pop superstar Taylor Swift and whose label also accounts for country superstars such as Tim McGraw, Florida Georgia Line, Reba and Rascal Flatts, will officially begin appearing on FOX's 'American Idol' tonight (Wednesday). He will be taking the seat as the hit show's new in-house Mentor. Borchetta will be responsible for guiding the show's contestants throughout the competition. But his work won't end there; it will extend beyond the show's finale when the winner receives a record a deal with Big Machine Records. Rolling Stone magazine hailed him as a "music mogul," Borchetta's career as a record label executive includes 150 singles and counting to #1 hits on the radio charts as well as assisted artists with more than 450 million in album sales. Borchetta, was recently featured among the top 30 on this year's Billboard "Power 100" list. And to keep in progression with his accomplishments, he will receive the Music Business Association's most prestigious honor and the Presidential Award, this May. Clive Davis, Sylvia Rhone, Dick Clark, and Ahmet Ertegun are among those who have also received the award in the past. Country Music Association named Borchetta the 2015 recipient of the Jo Walker-Meador Award for advocating and supporting country music's marketing development in territories outside the U.S. This is the 2nd time he has been given recognition with the CMA honor. American Idol airs Wednesday nights on FOX at 8/7 pm Central.

Miranda Lambert Releases Her New Saucy Video For Little Red Wagon Posted: 11 Mar 2015 11:49 AM PDT Miranda Lambert released the video today for her newest single from her 'Platinum' album, 'Little Red Wagon', and proved that "you can't step to this backyard swagger"! Showing off her sexy, slimmed down physique, her big sunglasses and her red Tony Lamas, the singer has everyone in the video from the desk clerk to the maid rocking out to the tune. 'Little Red Wagon' is one of the more edgy songs country radio has come across in years. The video starts with her Dodge Dart classic driving with an airstream in tow, Lambert and her little dog pull up to the hotel, where she flaunts her disregard for the "no pet policy". She spends a majority of her time oohing and ahhing at the pool boy and inspiring the maid to be a bit saucier on the job. The song is one of the more upbeat tunes from 'Platinum' and the video stays in line with that theme, not taking itself too seriously…Lambert is all smiles all the way through, with the occasional flirty gaze into the camera. My favorite part of the video takes place toward the end, as the belt Lambert is sporting around her waist claims her roll as Blake Shelton's wife. "Someone told me about the song,” Miranda said. “A girl named Audra Mae wrote it. I kind of tracked her down a little bit in a stalker way because I was obsessed with her music and met her and we became friends. I asked her if I could record her song and she said, ‘Absolutely!’ and she actually sang background on the record.” Lambert without doubt has already done the song justice with her performance at the Grammys and in the music video, proving once again that she's still making "jaws droppin' like ooh, ah, ooh, ah!"
