The Voice Is Back: Watch The Coaches Cover Each Other’s Songs

Posted: 21 Sep 2015 11:04 AM PDT

Tonight is the night! Season 9 of The Voice premieres at 8 p.m. EST on NBC with the return of the blind auditions. All four superstar coaches themselves will also be taking the stage together. Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Pharrell, and Adam Levine will all be singing each other’s hits. And you can get a first look at the premiere here!

Yup, that’s Stefani covering Shelton’s “Neon Lights,” Shelton covering No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak,” Pharrell covering Maroon 5’s “Sugar,” and Levine covering Pharell’s song with Daft Punk, “Get Lucky.”

Just like previous seasons, the premiere will start the blind auditions where coaches select singers to join their teams. The twist of the auditions is that the judges can’t see the performers, they can only select them based on the sound of their singing, hence the meaning behind "The Voice."

This season features the return of Stefani as a coach. She will replace Christina Aguilera, who reportedly will return for the 10th season. The show is known for rotating coaches through the swivel chairs as performers balance TV and touring. Past judges include Usher, CeeLoo Green and Shakira. Carson Daly will also be returning as host.

Shelton returned to work on the set of the show shortly after announcing his divorce from Miranda Lambert. He's recruited his good friend Brad Paisley as his team adviser this season as well as to lend some moral support.

He's really been good to me, and so the fact that I was able to get him here and and advise my team made perfect sense to me because he was actually a mentor for me," Shelton tells People.

BIG news for The Voice! The reality competition series has taken home the 2015 Emmy Award for Best Reality Competition Series last night on the Emmys. They beat out other fan favorites including So You Think You Can Dance and Project Runway. Congratulations!!!

Tim McGraw Cancels Final Dates Of His Shotgun Rider Tour

Posted: 21 Sep 2015 10:11 AM PDT

No doubt Southern California fans were disappointed this weekend when they learned of the news through a Facebook post that unfortunately Tim McGraw had cancelled his shows. The mandatory break came just as he was ending up his “Shotgun Rider Tour” in California.

The "Top Of The World" singer had to cancel this weekend's shows in Mountain View and Irvine, California, the last two stops on his tour, after being put on vocal rest by his doctor.

This is so disappointing to me.  We've had such a great summer and I was looking forward to this final weekend with the fans in California.  I appreciate the support and look forward to coming back soon. The word 'can't' is just not in my DNA, if there was any way I could sing, I would do it," said McGraw said on Twitter.

Tickets for both shows will be refunded at their point of purchase. Chase Bryant and Billy Currington were helping as opening acts throughout McGraw's summer tour.

Though his tour may have been cut short, at least fans can look forward to some new music from their favorite artist. McGraw's 14th studio album, Damn Country Music, will be released November 6th. His current single, Top of the World, is quickly climbing the country charts.

McGraw is currently scheduled to play the Route 91 Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 4th , which is his last scheduled concert date of 2015.
