​n October I'll be ​

venturing out for a solo​ tour, wending northward from

​Virginia into Maine, sharing bills with wonderfully familiar musicians (Jeffrey Lewis, Red Sled Choir, Sam Moss, Rick Rude, Lobo Marino, Ben Shepherd) and a host of others I haven't yet met. Special guest accompanists are in the works for a few shows--confirmed as of now is Anders Griffen on drums at Montague Bookmill.

My thanks to you all for your continued support in my musical exploration. I do love meeting you at the shows. I'm determined to make show experiences better and better for us all, over time. An ideal picture--early shows, plenty of room with surfaces for lounging / lying down (a more receptive way of listening to music, no?) or moving / dancing, people of all ages welcome, nourishing food available, a focus on concerts as co-created community events with rich opportunities for participation / social exchange. I share these musings as I know some of you would like to help (and are already helping) live music culture grow in these directions. Kind thanks to the folks in Downingtown, Philadelphia and Baltimore who'll be opening up their homes for house concerts on the upcoming tour.

I'm looking forward to the long drives, catching up with a bunch of recordings I've been meaning to listen to, making little stops to harvest handfuls of seeds, roots, leaves, or to simply sit and gaze. Whatever floats your groat. 'Grounding' is a practice I'm developing so as not to lose my soul whilst traveling. Barefoot walking, chest to the earth, etc.
