At this year's CineEurope conference in Spain, Paramount not only showcased its upcoming slate of films to European theater owners, but also announced several upcoming sequels set to hit theaters in 2016. The biggest surprise was of course the reveal that we would see a fifth Transformers movie in just 2 short years. We already knew we'd be getting at least two more sequels, but many anticipated we wouldn't see Transformers 5 until at least 2017. After all, it's been three years since Dark of the Moon hit theaters, but a new film every two years does fit with the original trilogies release schedule. No word yet on if director Michael Bay will return to once again helm the sequel or if Mark Wahlberg will star, but... ( More) |
