Head of Warehouse & Logistics (Karachi) Posted: A large Petrochemical Company in Karachi requires the services of a seasoned Warehouse and Logistics Professional to manage its warehousing, logistics and distribution operations. The ideal candidate should have the proven track record of managing large scale warehousing and logistics operations. The successful candidate should be: - An MBA degree holder (preferable) in Supply Chain from a reputed Pakistani or international institution. An experienced warehousing/logistics manager, with minimum 10 year experience of managing bulk warehousing/cargo handling operations of process industry (like fertilizer, cement, steel, PTA, etc) and/or exposure of any renowned large scale warehousing/logistics services provider company - A professional, who is proficient with ERP applications related to warehousing and logistics management. A dynamic individual, an excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills, should be able to effectively communicate at all levels. - A true professional, who acts with utmost integrity, having a positive attitude, a team player and a self starter. An accomplished manager, who is a capable organizer, proficient in multitasking and has the ability to establish systems and streamline processes. The successful candidate will be expected to: Plan and manage all warehousing/logistics operations, related to shipping, receiving, storing, inventory management, distribution and transportation. (This involves managing daily 50 plus in/out containerized shipments and a fleet of 30 plus fork-lifters on 24/7 basis). - Revamp the processes and systems of warehousing and logistics, with an objective of enhancing operational efficiencies. - Coordinate with both internal/external customers and with suppliers/service providers. - Lead the team of warehouse staff, through active guidance, coaching, motivating and effective monitoring. Ensure proper safety and security of warehouse/logistics operations and materials by establishing/monitoring safety and security procedures and protocols. Adhere to all QMS requirements, company's policies, procedures and business ethics also ensures that these are communicated and followed in all warehousing/logistics operations.
